Privacy Policy
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how dwitlabs LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles data in the mobile apps and games we publish (our “apps”), including SpellBuff. We build our apps to run almost entirely on your device. Our apps don’t require an account, don’t ask for your name or email, and your progress is stored on your device.
This policy covers the limited data that is collected — mostly by the third-party Google tools we use for crash reporting, basic analytics, and ads — how it’s used, and the choices you have.
- No account, no sign-up, no personal profile.
- Your in-app progress stays on your device. Where an app offers device sync (e.g., SpellBuff), it syncs directly between your own devices over local Wi-Fi, end-to-end encrypted — never through our servers.
- We use Google Firebase (analytics + crash reporting) and Google AdMob (ads). You can turn analytics off in the app’s Settings, and control ads via your device settings and our consent prompt (EEA/UK).
- Our apps are not directed to children under 13.
Information we collect
Information you provide
None. Our apps have no accounts and do not ask for personal information.
Stored on your device (not collected by us)
Your in-app progress and settings are stored locally on your device. We can’t see it, and uninstalling the app removes it.
Device Sync data
Where an app offers device-to-device sync (such as SpellBuff), your data is sent directly between your own devices over your local Wi-Fi network, end-to-end encrypted. It does not pass through, and is not stored on, any server we operate.
Collected automatically by third-party tools
To keep our apps stable, understand general usage, and show ads, we use these Google services, which may collect data as described in Google’s policies:
- Firebase Analytics — app usage and interaction events (e.g., screens viewed, features used), a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, and general device/app info (device model, OS version, app version, approximate region derived from IP). Used to understand how our apps are used and improve them. You can turn this off anytime in the app’s Settings. It is not used to personally identify you.
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash and error diagnostics (the app’s state at a crash, device type, OS version) so we can fix bugs.
- Google AdMob — serves ads in apps that include them. AdMob may access your device’s Advertising ID and collect data to deliver and measure ads. Where required (EEA/UK), we ask for your consent first (see “Ads & consent”).
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, precise location, or the contents of your device.
How we use information
- Keep our apps working; find and fix crashes and bugs.
- Understand general, aggregate usage to improve our apps.
- Show and measure ads that help support our apps.
We do not sell your personal information.
Ads & consent
Some of our apps show ads via Google AdMob. In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, we present a consent prompt (using Google’s User Messaging Platform) before ads and analytics that require consent, and we honor your choice. Elsewhere, you can limit ad personalization through your device settings (e.g., “Reset advertising ID” / “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android).
Your choices & rights
- Analytics: turn it off anytime in the app’s Settings.
- Ads: reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device settings; in the EEA/UK, revisit your consent choice via the app’s privacy/consent option.
- Local data: uninstalling an app deletes its on-device data.
- GDPR (EEA/UK): you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. As we hold no accounts, most requests concern data held by Google under their policies; you can also contact us below.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell personal information for money. Ad personalization may involve “sharing” of identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising, which you can opt out of via the device/consent controls above. You may also request to know or delete your information.
Data retention
On-device data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Data collected by Google (analytics, crash, ads) is retained according to Google’s retention policies.
Data security
Device Sync traffic is end-to-end encrypted. Data sent to Google’s services is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use reasonable safeguards.
Children’s privacy
Our apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided such data, contact us and we will address it.
Third-party services
Data handled by the tools above is also governed by Google’s policies:
International data transfers
Data processed by Google may be stored and processed in countries other than yours, with safeguards as described in Google’s policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the affected app or on its store listing.
